MD Draws Shana!by =MDetector5

It might not be much, what with the standard standing pose and all, but it was years in the making (and it's part of something I'm doing in between other stuff). I'll have to explain this.

Back when I was in school (around 1997-1999, to be exact), I would try and find stuff by certain artists, but Deviantart (and similar sites) weren't around back then, so you'd have to know where to go... and since I was doing this at school, I would often times would have to get around the flimsy-ass internet filter the school set up AND find a "blind spot" to look for stuff at.

That said, I would frequently visit Japanese art sites. Places like The Page of Boobs (which is not only still running today, but I even sent in some stuff, too), and certain other similar sites had what I was looking for: boobs... and other stuff. Oftentimes the stuff was VERY well drawn, and I liked what I saw.

Well, around that time, I saw some art by an artist that I really liked, and it was of a particular character (who I found out was later named Shana - the example used is her as a chibi, but still). The artist's name was Akitaka Tsukimi, and after a while, I managed to find his site . I would regularly check for updates and save some of what I liked.

I did managed to save 50+ pieces he did (about 20-25 of which were of his character Shana) between 1998 and when he stopped updating around early 2007. By that time, not only that most of the links of his site stopped working, or the links to certain areas were taken down.

Recently, I had taken to reblogging most of those drawings that I've saved, and the first of those were devoted to his character Shana, as seen here: [link] (two of the pics are kinda NSFW)

I've been wanting to draw her as early as 2003, but I didn't at the time, because I thought I would do a very piss-poor job of drawing her.

Well, in doing some practice for an idea you may or may not see later (given my owing trades/etc. still, and me being kinda slow in finishing these things), I drew a headshot of her, and since it's my first drawing of her ever, I'm putting it here.

I don't know where her creator is nowadays, but I hope he's doing something great. And even though I can't claim her as my own, I do intend to draw her more.
