COMMISSION STATUS: CLOSED! When I'm open again, I'll refresh this journal.
COMMISSION SLOTS: 0/3
Hello, and welcome to my General Commissions Journal
! If you are reading this, you either want a commission, or you're checking out what I am offering and for how much. Well, in either case, this is the journal for you!
"But MD, how do I get a commission from you?" you ask. Well...
1. First, take a look in my gallery, and you'll get a fairly good idea as to what I can draw...
- Big Boobs
- Character/clothing design (seriously, I draw a lot of cute/sexy clothing for my character Valerie
all the time)
- Any combination thereof
Not only that, I can draw NSFW stuff. I've also been known to draw some straight-up porn-y things every now and then, but I put those, ahem, elsewhere I don't draw loli, gore (a little blood is okay, but a crime scene? HELL NO), or scat. I suck at mechas. I do draw male characters, but not that well. Monster/slimegirls... maybe. Ask me about monster/slimegirls.
2. Then, pick the type of commission you want...
- One-Character Sketches: $5 (extra characters +$1)
- Color Drawing: $10 (extra characters +$2)
- Sketch Sheet: $12 (minimum three sketches)
- 1-page Sequence: $15 (minimum four sketches/panels)
- Character Design: $22 (female characters only; will include one sketch, one sketch sheet, and one color drawing)
No examples of that (yet), but I am using what's already in my gallery for examples:
Art Slave Special: $42
As long as it fits into the type of stuff I draw, I will draw for YOU any number of requests (minimum four requests) for ONE MONTH.
3. Send me a note with what you want!
Now, here's the tricky part!
In order for your commission order to be handled as smoothly as possible, and so that I can do a fairly decent-to-good job with your order, provide as much detail as possible and send over at least three references
. The more details/references, the better... ESPECIALLY if you want a Character Design commission.
Payment is PayPal only for the time being, due to me needing money for the various things that need money. But there are other ways to pay, as outlined in this...COMMISSION FAQ!How can I trust you? Are you one of those types that take the money and run?
No, but it does take a while to get these things out. It used to be that, back in the day, I'd post a ton of stuff and it'd look... well, at least I got the idea down on paper, let's put it that way. Now that I want to try and make my stuff look really decent, it's going to take a little longer than it used to, not to mention various real life shenanigans that I won't get into here. How long will it take for you to complete my commission?
Depends on the aforementioned RL shenanigans, in addition to trying to make my drawings suck less. Didn't I already answer that question?Aren't you over/undercharging? According to the internet, you should be charging at least more/less than your asking price.
Look, buddy, I do realize that some do this as their job, and as such they need the money for bills/food/etc., but I'm doing this to make a little extra money for myself. Plus there's stuff I want, so why not make some money off of something I'm good at? I can't afford a commission/I only have points. What can I do?
Well, if you can draw (or you're saving up for something else), how about an art trade? I've been known to do a couple of those myself. All you're doing with that is switching out one form of payment for another. But, I don't want it to be where you go, "Hey, I can get something real nice from this guy if I dick around in MSPaint for a good 10 minutes!" I want to see EFFORT!
Besides, MSPaint has a lousy enough reputation as it is. I've seen some AMAZING stuff done in MSPaint, but even that's not enough to fix its already... shaky reputation.
If you have points, then it's 400 points for a One-Character Sketch, 800 points for a Color Drawing, 1200 points for a Sketch Sheet/1-page Sequence, and 1500 points for a Character Design. Use the appropriate commission box on the front of my page. Why are you charging $42 for the Art Slave Special instead of, say, $40 or $50?
Because the number 42 is awesome. Everyone knows that.I have an idea for a multipage comic. How much would it be?
I did that once or twice in the past, but I'm not offering that at this time... unless you got a damn good idea, then we can work something out Do you do requests? If so, may I have one?
Sure you can! But there's a catch. Since I want to take a lot of commissions, do me a solid and link back to this journal on your page. Also, it's limited to sketches only... but if it's a really good idea I might do more than a sketch =========================
And that's the end of this commission journal. I look forward to doing business with you!
